In a Press Conference Manik Bhattacharya the Chairman of west bengal borad of Primary Education intimated that the board is going to conduct 'Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2017 for Class-1 to V. Qualifiying in this exam is a basic requirement for recruitment as "'Primary Teacher' In the Govt. Aided/Sponsored Primary Schools throughout West Bengal. He also intimated that the expected vacancy is at least 15,000.
Education Qualification
Candidates who have passed 12th standard examination of any recognized Borad/Council with at Least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/ Exempted Category/ Ex-Serviceman/ Physically Challenged applicants ) Mark or its equivalent grade in aggregate are eligible to apply.in addition to this qualification, candidates must have passed 2- years diploma course in elementary Education (D.El.ED)
from any recognized University/Institute Or 4yrears Bachelor of Elementary education (B.El.Ed) from any recognized University/ Institute OR Diploma in Education (Special Education) (D.Ed.) recognised by RCI. Graduates in any discipline of any recognised university/ institute may also apply provided they should be passed 2 years D.El.Ed Course from any recognised institute Final year candidates of D.El.Ed. / B.El.Ed./ D.Ed. course are not eligible to Apply.
APPLICATION FEE
Candidates will have to pay Rs .100/ UR (Rs:25/- for SC/ST/PWD) as application fee by using on-line payment gateway through Credit/Debit card/ Net Banking Facility within in 29.10.2017. After that candidates will have to take a print -out of the payment confirmation page, which will have to retain for future purpose. MODE OF SELECTION:
Selection will be conducted by west bengal Board of primary Education. The Detailed syllabus, date, time & venue of TET will be available on the website as mentioned below. After declaration of the result of TET, commission will publish the exact vacancy list for this post and according to that, candidates will have to apply again. Thereafter , TET-2017 passed candidates will be called for Interview. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in TET, Interview Academic, Professional qualification and Extra Curricular Activities. The merit list will be published on the website.
